Project Overview
This project focuses on high-precision CNC machining of structural parts for automotive and UAV applications, using materials including 6061 aluminum, forged aluminum, and die-cast aluminum. The client required complex internal cavities, multi-face one-time forming, lightweight design, and ultra-precise positioning, all while meeting the strict consistency and quality standards of high-tech precision manufacturing.
Core Challenges & Our Solutions
1. Complex Cavity & Multi-Face Forming
Intricate internal geometries and multi-angle features demand tight tolerance control, with a high risk of misalignment or surface marks during re-clamping.
We adopted multi-axis CNC machining centers with custom fixturing to complete all forming processes in a single setup, eliminating the need for secondary clamping and ensuring part alignment accuracy.
2. Lightweight High-Precision Positioning
Thin-walled and lightweight structures are prone to vibration and deformation during machining, directly affecting positioning precision.
We optimized tool paths and cutting parameters to reduce vibration; used high-rigidity tools and low-stress machining strategies to maintain dimensional stability while meeting lightweight requirements.
3. Strict Consistency & No Tool Change Marks
Automotive/UAV parts require flawless surface quality with no visible tool marks and zero defects, with 100% consistency across batches.
We implemented standardized tool management and automated tool change systems; applied high-precision finishing processes to ensure smooth surfaces and consistent results, eliminating any tool change marks.
Project Outcome
Delivered parts with excellent batch-to-batch consistency and zero tool change marks.
All products passed the client’s strict industry performance and quality tests, meeting full automotive/UAV application requirements.
The solution addressed the client’s core concerns for precision, reliability, and high-volume quality control, establishing a stable long-term partnership.
